Cats & Cakes: The Card Game is a cozy single player cat bakery simulation card game where each and every aspect of the game is represented as a playable card. By stacking cards in a solitaire-style, you bakes various recipes, discover hidden ones, manages and upgrades your resources, serves customers and more. You must strategically chain and combine cards to fulfil orders efficiently, keep customers happy, and keep your business afloat. An in-game day starts with a preparation phase where you can take this time to reorganize your card on the game board before opening the doors of the bakery. Once your bakery is open for business, you'll have to juggle between baking and serving customers simultaneously, all while doing your best to meet the various requests and quality standards demanded by your customer before your time or their patience runs out. At the end of each day, you'll have you pay your electricity bill, where failing to do so means bankruptcy and game over. While the gameplay loop may be simple, strategy is required as every day progression is affected by random events as well as the unique choices of upgrades each time your feline levels up.
